Glasgow has been here for thousands of
years - literally!
It's the place closest to the coast where you could cross the Clyde
without a boat so even before St Mungo and even before the salmon
fishing village where the Gorbals now stands there were settlements on
either side and a crossing.
By necessity it would have been a hospitable place with plenty for both
the resident and the traveller to do - much as it is today: a vibrant,
outgoing place with lots of interesting things to see, to do and to get
involved in.
We have one great advantage over the early inhabitants - we have the
history that was their present.
